The final Faith in Art bought an excellent series of talks to an end .Barry introduced us to some controversial pictures which caused quite a stir.
There were clamours at the end for him to come back and do future talks..............so watch this space topics suggested were
Picasso,Bob Dylan,African Art and Art History!
If you didn't come you missed a great deal.

To all who are worried about the bees at the twitchell side of the church, they are honey bees and unlikely to sting unless you disturb them.We are awaiting a beekeeper to remove them to his/her hive.
they are endangered (I could add a bit like Christians really, but i won't!) and therefore we do not wish to harm them.

i finally gave in and went to see the Doc today.............the cough just won't go............his advice ............inhale with Vick!
I smother myself with it every night, have tried every form of cough medicine and still cough cough cough...............ah well,it could be worse!
Hopefully the roast onions and peppercorn will help!
then went to the church as worried that some of the furniture might be sitting outside.............the notice board has arrived ........so has it's stand...........trouble is the pole that links the two hasn't!..............ah well maybe tomorrow!
In God i trust...............fedex? not so sure!

Well we rocked the crem with the music today and with the laughter, yes there were a few tears but that is fine, not sure the undertaker will recover from the minister in bright blue talking about thomas the tank engine and lighting  stars, but that's fine.
i hope it brought some solace.
funnily enough Elaine was attending the funeral before!I am attending her ordination on Saturday.

I can hardly believe that this is the last one of these excellent talks given by Barry, all who have come have found them enthralling and i am sure we have all learnt a great deal, maybe it makes us use our eyes a little more when we look at paintings.............what are they trying to say?why have they painted in that particular way?how do they aid or hinder our worship?
Come to the last one if you can ,you won't regret it,and we are going to party afterwards!

Coffee, tea, chat and biscuits!in our new room today.Moving meditations preceded it followed by Jesus's family meal, so a very spiritual start to a beautiful day.God is good!

well i have spent most o fthe morning in the garden, just enjoying the sunshine, the bees, the gliders overhead, the flowers and some sauvignon at midday!MY freckles have come out in force..............makes me think of my Late Grandfather who always wanted to count them! soppy date!.
the ladybirds are doing allsorts in the garden!!quite shocking really!
the birds are singing and the bees are buzzing. Thanks God,it's a wonderful world.

Had an enjoyable time with the ladies of the Shingay parishladies group last night.we looked at meditations on women in the passion stories.Good fellowship.
Spent time in my garden in the morning planting lots of colourful annuals and perennials.
Attending a funeral today of a well known village character, much of the history will die with him sadly.
Then preparing for Sunday and another funeral on Monday.
Also awaiting news of a friends cousin who is very poorly.
Glad the sun is shiining!Life is full of ups and downs but with God's help we can ride the troughs and the peaks, without him we sink.

well i survived the school assembly and left the children with the idea of lady ga ga coming to Gm on a bike!well it's as likely as the Messiah on a Donkey!except of course that really happened!
we had 4 at the coffee morning plus myself, funny that 4 seems to be the favourite number!!
it isn't the same 4 either!
trouble is there is cake left.can i resist it for the rest of the week!?!
