Bright light streaming through the window, warm and snug inside and yet outside its cold and slippery.A bit like life really,we can be happily going along happy with our lot and then something comes along and knocks us off our feet.
how do we cope when that happens, who do we rely on.These are the times we find out who our true friends are.the friends are those who send the cheery e mails, make the time to ring or visit, drop off small gifts .............just to say they are thinking about you,not expecting anything, just there in the background.Caring, praying for you.
Are you there for your friends?Am I?I hope so.
God is,he is there in the background waiting for you to turn and face him,to ask for his help. But we can turn to him at all times. He is the greatest friend of all.
The Church windows have been cleaned today inside and out so now we will be able to enjoy sunlight through the windows!the candles should reflect beautifully on Christmas Eve
Are we all excited?
Decorations don't go up until next week then it really will feel like Christmas is coming.
The collection from Our carol service will go to Mercy ships and the Garden House Hospice,so i hope everyone will give generously.
We have stocked up with baubles to give the children and St.Nicholas's helper is busy writing labels for them.
