Well my positive thoughts have been replaced by more gloom and despondancy! It has been a real emotional rollercoaster these last few weeks.Since i was called as minister i have felt more like a clerk of works or project manager of a building site than a Minister.Well the worst of that is over but now because of poor management of trusts in the past we find ourselves on the brink of closure unless the Charity Commission are good to us or someone comes up with the £20,000 we need to survive this next year.
One scenario is that the Church carries on without a Minister which would reduce costs but in other ways would not be good for the Church. There would be no pastoral support for folk, services would be taken by anyone who happened to be available from other churches and continuity would be lost.We have been building links with other churches in the counties surrounding us,with St Mary's in GM.
We have been reaching out into the community in so many other ways and we don't want this to stop.
Spiritually we are growing as a fellowship, there are so many positives.
Your prayers would support us so much as we go through these difficult times.Pray that we find a way forward, pray that we have the strength and the courage to continue with the difficult challenges ahead.Pray that God will show us the way.
