Wow what a great Sunday supplement the spirit and the bacon butties worked their magic and the ideas flowed.
We revisited our thoughts of July 2011,looked at our achievements and those things we do less well and then looked forward to what we want to do,ideas flowed and volunteers came forward.........childrens library,Adult Christian library, mumsntots coffee morning, youth club, messy church.....a band,an idea of a Sunday Supplement on justice..........it was all age input too.
We have come so far in a 18 months makes you wonder what the Lord has planned for the next 18 months and beyond.

We had an amazing day on Sunday full of the Spirit.Despite the doom and gloom of our finances ,we were being held in Prayer by so many folk from around the country and the world.
Some of us met before the service for Prayer and then we joined with so many others for the service which again was Spirit led.
Afterwards we shared food and fellowship together, there was laughter and fun,and then we came together for the meeting.
hard decisions had to be made and they were amicably and most were unanimous, showing how we had come together led by the Spirit.
We move forward now together, still with difficulties to face but looking to the future and looking outwards as well as within our own fellowship.
We were blessed by a visitor who has family ties with us,who so generously gave us a donation which stunned us all by its generosity.
God is good and we go forwards in his name.

Well folks the blog might be quiet(is that sighs of relief i hear?)
as tomorrow morning i leave early for Dunfermline, stopping overnight in Tadcaster via a few garden centres no doubt!
I am sure the Chapel folk will enjoy Allan taking the service on Sunday.
really looking forward to being back in my Spiritual Home.......Scotland.
Also I know the Scottish folk will give us a wonderful Assembly to remember and charge us afresh for the year to come with God's Spirit,Love and Hope.Keep us in your prayers as we celebrate the 40th year of the Congregational Federation
